New Music 11/24/23: South of France - Time To Get By

South of France is back with plenty of dreamy dance-pop bounce, and a whole lot of their trademark groove and slap - their best work yet. "Time To Get By" will be released via Staycation records on November. 24th, and features a sugary and albeit playful array of contemporary and psychedelic indie pop that's been meticulously studio-crafted. "Time To Get By" is a groovy, low key, blissed-out indie dance track that's loaded with infectious groove, hooky melodies, and layers of detailed production.

Written produced and performed by Jeff Cormack and long-time friends and co-creators Carl Carrell (Crl Crrll) and Greg Laut (Little Trips). Time To Get By invokes a carefree classic feeling with lyrics and soundscapes that romanticize the idea of escaping to a simpler life, and aims to be a refreshing burst of escapism for the listener. The song is part of South of France's upcoming album, My Spirit Animal, My Baggage. The album is part solo effort and part collaborative and will'feature a lengthy collection of songs by Jeff and and his collaborators Greg Laut (Little Trips), Carl Carrell (Crl Crrll) and many international artists TBA.

From his hometown of Denver, South of France's frontman Jeff Cormack has been building his own brand of dreamy international pop throughout the years upon dropping his first single in2015. With songs featured in tv shows Bojack Horseman & Shameless and premier features and performances for publications such as American Songwriter, NPR, Rolling Stone and many others, it's easy to see why South of France has been gaining buzz & opening for bands Portugal The Man, Young The Giant, Flaming Lips, Michigander, Tennis, Zella Day & many others.
