New Music 06/5/26: South of France - Spirit Animal V. Baggage Vol.1

Spirit Animal V. Baggage Vol. 1 - is a brilliant 32 song culmination of multi faceted creative director and frontman Jeff Cormack’s ever evolving song-craft and imagination, and will be available world wide via Staycation Records on June 5th 2026. The album is an expansive ride that cleverly encompasses and combines elements of indie pop, psychedelia, psychedelic rock, dream pop, neo-soul, international pop, indie pop, and urban pop. Jeff and his roster of eclectic global collaborators have adventurously & eloquently pushed the sound of this album by pulling inspiration from varying genres around the world while still delivering their trademark psych-pop textures, reliable hook and infectious groove. “This album is my first attempt at making a great producer album. Trying to humbly do something like early Gorillaz, Mark Ronson, BadBadNotGood, or Handsome Boy Modeling Club ...Something modern that has a diverse array of music and personality but one cohesive feeling.” - Says Jeff about the collection.

South of France is the main collaborative project from Jeff Cormack. Jeff is an award-winning multi-instrumental writer, producer, designer & creative director, who has organically & independently reached the Global and US Viral Top50 charts multiple times with different projects. His dedication to the craft has propelled him into the top 2% of songwriters, top 2% of artists & top 5% of music producers globally, and recently earned a nod from 6X Grammy Winning Producer of the Year - Danger Mouse. He stays busy developing music under his name, composing for film, and by continually pushing to evolve the sound and collaborative direction of South of France.

Playing direct support for a handful of this generations biggest artists like The Flaming Lips, Young The Giant, Portugal The Man and garnering premier placements in some of today's most popular TV shows like Heated Rivalry, Bojack Horseman, Shameless, Reacher, and landing exclusive performances and features for publications including American Songwriter, NPR, Consequence of Sound, Rolling Stone, and Noisey, It's easy to see why South of France was named one of the top ten reasons to visit Denver (Jeff's hometown) by Refinery 29 Magazine.
